INFORMATION FOR THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Polish Institute of Meteorology and Water Management – National Research Institute, with registered office in Warsaw, ul. Podleśna 61, 01-673 Warsaw (hereafter “IMGW-PIB”), as the administrator pursuant to and for the purposes of the EU Regulation 2016/679 on 27th April, 2016, concerning the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, as well as repealing Directive 2001/20/EC (General Data Protection Regulation, hereafter “RODO”), in accordance with the provisions of RODO, informs you that:

  2. Your personal data may be processed for the purposes of:

    2.1 Fulfilling legal duties resulting from binding legal provisions, in particular:
    a. the Act on research institutes,
    b. the Act of Water Law
    c. the Act of Public Procurement Law
    d. the Act of Access to Public Information
    e. the Act of Labour Code
    f. the Act of Aviation Law
    g. the Act of re-use the public sector information
    h. the Act of Higher Education and Science
    i. the Act of National Science Centre (legal basis: article 6(1)(c or e);

    2.2. For the performance of a contract to which the data subject are you, or to take steps at your request, before the conclusion of contracts (legal basis: article 6(1)(b) of RODO);

    2.3 Resulting from the legitimate interests pursued by the administrator (exercise of the rights related to the claims for compensation from delicts) (legal basis: article 6(1)(f) of RODO);

    2.4 Within the scope and purpose defined in the contents of your permit granted earlier); (legal basis: article 6(1)(a) of RODO).
     
  3. The recipients of your personal data could be: public authorities, entities performing public tasks or acting on behalf of public authorities, within the scope and for the purposes resulting from commonly binding legal provision, entities controlling administrator, entities financing administrator, parties to contracts with administrator.
     
  4. Your personal data will be processed for the period required to meet the processing goals, indicated in par. 2, while after this period for the time and within the scope required for commonly binding legal provision.
     
  5. With regard to the processing of your personal data, you have the right to:

    5.1 Access to your personal data, including the right to obtain a copy of the personal data;

    5.2 Demand the amendment (correction) of any incorrect or incomplete personal data;

    5.3 Remove your personal data (so-called right to be forgotten), if:
    a. data are no longer required for the purposes it was collected or processed otherwise,
    b. person who is the subject of the data has raised an objection to the processing of personal data,
    c. person who is the subject of the data has withdrawn the consent to the processing of personal data, which is the basis of data processing and there is no other legal basis for processing of data,
    d. personal data are processed unlawfully,
    e. personal data must be removed in order to fulfil the duty resulting from the legal provisions;

    5.4 Demand the restriction of processing personal data – in case when:
    a. person who is the subject of the data questions the appropriateness of personal data,
    b. processing of personal data is illegal, while the person who is the subject of the data precludes the data removal, demanding the restriction of the personal data instead,
    c. administrator does not need the data for his purposes, while the person who is the subject of the data needs the personal data to determine, defend or seek for claims,
    d. the person who is the subject of the data has raised an objection to the processing of personal data until determining whether reasonable grounds on the administrator’s side shall prevail over the basis of the objection;

    5.5 Object the data processing – granted only on the cumulative conditions:
    a. the reasons will arise, connected with your specific situation, in case of processing personal data based on the task carried out in the public interest or subject to the exercise of public authority
    b. the processing is necessary for the purposes of  legitimate interests pursued by the Administrator or by a third party, except in cases where the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of data subject, requiring personal data protection override, especially when the data subject is a child.
     
  6. In addition:

    6.1. In case when processing of the personal data is based on the permission to the data processing (legal basis: article 6(1)(f) of RODO), you have the right to withdraw the permission at any moment. The withdrawal of the permission shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

    6.2. If processing of your personal data by the administrator violates the provisions of the law, you are entitled to lodge a complaint to the President of Personal Data Protection Office.

    6.3. Disclosing of personal data is mandatory, if the provision of a law provides presumption for processing of the data.

    6.4. Disclosing of personal data is voluntary, but necessary to achieve the purpose of concluding the contract between the parties, if the contract application provides presumption for processing of the data.

    6.5. In case when processing of the personal data is based on the permission to the data processing, providing administrator with your personal data is voluntary.
     
  7. Your personal data will not be processed automatically nor profiled.


Newsletter clause

I hereby give my permission for the processing of my personal data (i.e. data provided for in the Registration Form) by IMGW-PIB with registered office in Warsaw, Podleśna 61, for the purpose of receiving the Newsletter.

* I hereby give permission to send commercial information by means of electronic communication within the meaning of the Act of 18 July, 2002 on the provision of services by electronic means (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 123 as amended) to the email address, concerning services offered by IMGW-PIB with registered office in Warsaw, Podleśna 61. The permission is voluntary and may be withdrawn at any moment by sending email to the address: iodo@imgw.pl. The withdrawal of the permission shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

* I hereby give permission to send commercial information by means of electronic communication within the meaning of the Act of 18 July, 2002 on the provision of services by electronic means (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 123 as amended) in the form of text message sent to the phone number provided, concerning services offered by IMGW-PIB with registered office in Warsaw, Podleśna 61. The permission is voluntary and may be withdrawn at any moment by sending email to the address: iodo@imgw.pl. The withdrawal of the permission shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
